When Will the Next Version of Zorin OS Be Released?
Learn about the release cadence of point releases and major new versions of Zorin OS.
Point releases
To ensure that you get the most up-to-date system possible out of the box, we launch incremental point releases of Zorin OS approximately every 6 months. They typically come pre-installed with newer software updates, security patches, updated apps, improved hardware support, and additional features.
If you installed a previous version of Zorin OS within the latest major release series, you can upgrade to the newest point release by installing the latest updates from the Software Updater.
Major releases
We follow a “release when ready” policy for major new versions of Zorin OS, so there isn’t an exact date set for launch. However, we ususally release major new versions of Zorin OS roughly every 2 years.
