Install Citrix Workspace

How to install Citrix Workspace in Zorin OS.

  1. Open the web browser and navigate to the Citrix Workspace Linux download page.

  2. Download the Debian version of the Full Package for (x86_64).

  3. Open the Files app.

  4. Right-click on the “Downloads” folder and select “Open in Terminal”.

  5. In the new Terminal window, enter this command to install Citrix Workspace:

    sudo dpkg -i icaclient_*_amd64.deb
    
  6. During the installation process, you should be prompted with “Do you want to install the app protection component?”. Use the keys to highlight “no” and press Tab & Enter to select “<Ok>”.

  7. After the installation completes, restart your computer to apply the changes.

After restarting your computer, please also make sure that you’re using the standard Zorin Desktop environment by following these steps:

  1. At the login screen, please select your username.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open the desktop environment menu.
  3. Select the “Zorin Desktop” option, not “GNOME Shell”.
  4. Afterwards, log in normally again.
